Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 – 1930) was an English writer best known for his detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. “The Maracot Deep” is an amazing fantasy-fiction novel about Professor Maracot and his team of explorers discovering a sunken city of Atlantis. There, scientists are trying to study the culture and life of the inhabitants of the depths, incidentally encountering unimaginable dangers.
