Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 – 1930) was an English writer
best known for his detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. “The Stark Munro Letters” is an epistolary novel in the form of twelve
letters written in the late nineteenth century by a doctor J. Stark Munro and sent to his American friend Herbert Swanborough.
These letters describe his attempts to create a medical practice with the help of an unorthodox doctor James Cullingworth.
